The given charts provide information about the industrial, agricultural, and domestic water consumption in six countries across the world.
Overall, the highest percentage of water used for agricultural purposes is in South America, Africa, Central Asia, and South East Asia, whereas North America and Europe used the most water in the industrial sector.
To be more precise, North America and Europe have a similarity in water consumption. In both of these countries, the industrial sector contributes to half of the water used while almost one-third is consumed by agriculture purposes. The remaining 13% and 15% of water used are for domestic purposes.
On the other hand, around 80% of water consumption in South America, Africa, Central Asia, and South East Asia are used in cultivation. Besides, households comprised almost one-tenth of water usage in Africa and Asia, whereas domestic used made up 19% of South America's water. In contrast, the industrial sector accounted for about 10% of South America, Africa, and South East Asia's water, while in Central Asia, a meager 5% of water is used in the industrial sector.
