The charts illustrate the amount of water utilization based on three criteria(industrial, agricultural, domestic) in six different regions of the earth(North America, Europe, Africa, Central Asia, South East Asia).
Agricultural usage of water dictates the chart for almost all the regions except North America and Europe. Whereas, Central Asia shows the highest water usage with an impressive 88% of total usage, which is the largest percentage of water usage of any kind among all the regions.
Domestic and industrial usage remain relatively similar for both Africa and Central Asia. Although, for both of these regions domestic usage exceeds industrial usages by 2%. Whereas, in North America, Europe and South East Asia, industrial usage of water is higher than that of domestic usage. Furthermore, industrial water utilization even crosses the agricultural usage of water for North America and Europe. However, South America shows increased domestic usage of water which betters the industrial usage by 9% from 10% to 19%.
To conclude, Africa, Central Asia, South East Asia and South America represent a higher utilization of water for agricultural purposes. On the contrary, industrial usage clinched the top place in both North America and Europe.
