The six pie charts compare the purpose of water used in six distinguished areas in the world.
Overall, it is indicated that water is used mainly for agricultural except for North America and Europe where the industry is the main used purposed. The amount of water consumed for domestic demand accounts for the lowest in every area, except South East Asia.
Regarding North America and Europe, about half of water here is used for industry, making up 48% and 53% respectively. The next hight percentage is recorded in agricultural uses, which doubled the statistic of domestic use.
Other areas take agriculture as the main demand for water, 71% in South America, and above 80% in Africa, Central Asia, and South East Asia. Domestic is the second demand in South America, Africa, and Central Asia, which is 19%, 9%, and 7% respectively, and the last is industrial use which makes up insignificant proportions. In South East Asia, on the contrary, water is used for the industry more than domestic, which is 5% higher.
