The charts below show the performance of a bus company in terms of punctuality, both actual and target (what actually happened compared to what the company was trying to achieve), and the number of complaints and passengers.
The first chart illustrates the real percentage buses of a particular concern that arrived at the destination on time compared to the target of that firm, between 1999 and 2003. Meanwhile, the second depicts how many gravamens were sent during the same period.
It is clear that the actual and target proportion of buses coming punctually decreased over the years while the number of complaints from their customer went up throughout the period.
According to the first bar chart, in 1999, the company's target of buses reaching on time stood at 86%, which was slightly higher 1% than what was actually achieved. Although the goal remained unchanged one year later, the number of buses followed exactly on the schedule dropped by 3%. In the last year of the report, this company had gone down its target on-time arrivals to over 84%, whilst the actual figure was received a growth but it was still lower than itself in the first year.
As can be seen from the second chart, starting at around 7% of total passengers in 1999. After that, the number of complaints made by passengers rose significantly before experiencing a little fall to just over 8% in 2001. This data then grew considerably two years later, with almost 12% of passengers complaining in the final period.
