The charts below show the proportion of expenditure by student, on average, at one university, in 2000 and 2010
The two pie charts demonstrate how students of a university spend money on average in the years 2000 and 2010. Overall, the proportions of utilization on food and drink were not change (29%) and also the highest ratio both surveyed years. Whereas, the percentages of holidays remained the lowest (5%).
Eating out accounted for 4% of the expenditure in 2000, and experienced twofold increase to 8% in 2010. Utilities on electricity or water was 21% in 2000 and grew significantly by 6% in 2010. At the beginning of the period, transport made up 8%, and this figure rose slightly to 9% in 2010.
Clothing, which comprised almost one-fifth of spending in 2000, fell more than three times to 5% after 10-year period. In contrast, distribution for sports and cultural sector remained constantly in both years at 17%
