The presented charts demonstrate the outcome of a survey concerning factors that contribute to one’s happiness among two different age groups. Overall, though the factors vary considerably, achievement at work and pursuing personal hobbies are the two major contributors.
Both age groups report that workplace satisfaction contributes most significantly to their personal sense of happiness, by 31% and 32% respectively. Doing hobbies is another factor of similarity among the two age groups, as 22% of people under 30 and 24% of people over 30 identify the pursuit of hobbies as their primary source of life satisfaction.
However, there are certain differences among the two age groups when it comes to the other factors. While people under 30 value looks, people over 30 value financial security, as these factors come third on the list of happiness contributors (18% and 20%). Besides, traveling and spending time with family are also of great importance, as they both take up 14% to 15% in both groups.
