The bar charts reveal information about the various activities chosen by graduate and postgraduate students of the UK, who did not join a full-time job after completing their college in the year 2008.
Overall, most of the graduate and postgraduate students preferred to do further study followed by part-time work, whereas voluntary work gained the least interest among them.
To begin with, the number of students who chose further study was 29,665, which was almost twice compared to those who liked to be unemployed after completing their graduation. Furthermore, 17,735 students, which is almost one-fourth of the total students had an interest in part-time work, whereas only 3,500 students had an interest in voluntary work.
On the other hand, only 5% of students started voluntary work after finishing their postgraduate study, while almost 25% of students did not have any job. Furthermore, almost the same number of students had an interest for further study and part-time work, which is 2,725 and 2,535 respectively.
