The two pie charts illustrate the factors encouraging people to choose between the two means of transportation to get to work. Overall, health and environmental benefits are mostly responsible for why people use bicycles to travel to work, while the majority of car users rely on them due to the comforting pleasure.

Looking into the details, a total of 60% of workers make use of bicycles to be healthy or keep them in shape as well as to contribute to the efforts to protect the environment, with 30% for each category. 15% of the surveyed individuals use this method of traveling so that they will not worry about problems related to parking. The savings in terms of money and the faster speed compared to driving take up 13% and 12%, respectively.

With regard to the causes elucidating why some people drive to work, 11% of workers agree that it is safer than cycling, while the same proportion of 14% is recorded for those bringing along items and those who think driving is faster than using bicycles. The distance between home and workplace is the second highest chosen reason with around a quarter of people selecting it. The number of people who like to use their cars to travel to work makes up 40% of the total result.
