The two given pie charts illustrate different reasons why people choose to drive cars or ride bicycles to work.
It is noticeable that the majority of people prefers pedalling for health and environmental reasons, while those who drive cars want to have a comfortable journey over long distances.
Look at the first chart, the highest percentage of those favouring cycling say that riding bicycles to work is healthier than driving, accounting for just under a third. The same amount of people, 30%, cycle to work to reduce pollution. No parking space is another reason for cycling to work, making up 15 percent. There are 13% and 12% of people like riding bikes because of the cost-savings and the speed.
By contrast, there are two fifth drivers find it is more comfortable when travelling to work by car. The proportion of those who use automobiles due to the long distance made up just over a fourth. The figures for people claim that travelling by car is quicker and easier to bring things are the same, at 14% each. Finally, only 11 percent of people say driving is safer than cycling.
