As can be seen from charts, it is evident that the highest percentage of using water is for agriculture in four areas such as: South America, Africa, Central Asia, South East Asia; while this for industrial use is in North America and Europe.
First of all, in South America, Africa, Central Asia and South East Asia, water used for agriculture is the most bigger percentage, accounting for 71%, 84%, 88% and 81% respectively. Secondly, domestic use occupies 19%, 9% and 7% respectively in three former countries, while this figure is 7% in the latter country. Moreover, other purpose is industrial use which represents 10%, 7%, 5% and 12% respectively in those areas.
On the other hand, the most water consumption for industry in North America and Europe accounts for 48% and 53% respectively. In North America, the proportion of agricultural use relates to 39% and 13% for domestic use. Meanwhile, this figure of agricultural and domestic use in Europe makes up 32% and 15% respectively.
