The bar charts provide data about two types of television shows watched by males and females in Australia. Information is also classified in four different age groups.
Overall, it is clear from the charts that reality shows are most preferred among women whereas game shows have the same audience by both sexes. Furthermore, reality shows increase their popularity by age while game shows are most popular among people under 25 and over 45.
As regard to reality shows, these programmes are followed by around 35% and 70% of males and females respectively. Moreover, nearly 50 percent of these are under 24-year-olds and percentage grows constantly increasing age (almost 60, 65 and 70 percent of groups 25-34, 35-44, 45+ respectively).
In stark contrast, around 60% of both men and women like to watch game’s entertainments but the distribution of age fluctuates. In fact, five out of ten men or women are under 24 and a smaller portion of them between 25 and 44 years (approximately 40%) decides to watch this type of programme. Hence, the greatest public of game shows is over 45 with a figure just below 70 percent.
