Two charts compare the proportion of participants in different kinds of organizations between 2008 and 2018.
Looking at the charts, we can see that the number of people involving in healthcare organization was by far the lowest in both years. While such organizations as sport, environment, and healthcare increased their attractiveness, the opposite pattern was seen for other categories.
Regarding the 2008 survey, education was the most popular kind of organization to be recorded, captivating nearly a quarter of volunteers involved. Volunteering in environment-related and art organizations was a less common choice with 21% and 18% participants respectively. While sport and other categories shared the same percentage of volunteers at 15%, organizations relating to healthcare attracted only a modest quantity at 7%.
2018 witnessed an increasing popularity of environmental organizations when 29% of participants were interested in this category, making it the most preferred working option. Those who relished working in sport organizations also rose by 10% compared to 2008. In contrast, education and art categories saw a decline in the participant proportion with 17% and 12% respectively, only half of the figure for sports. Healthcare and other categories absorbed 8% and 9% of volunteers, and healthcare organizations were still the least common among volunteers despite a slight rise.
