Overall, it can be argued that a greater proportion of youths are taking up musical instruments. Additionally, we can observe that pianos have a little increase tendency while keyboards have a slight negative trend in terms of the most popular selections from 1996 and 2016.
A deeper examination of the pie chart supplied reveals that over a 20-year period, the percentage of young people playing musical instruments climbed noticeably, rising from 44% to 76%.
The keyboard came in second place with over 20% on the 1996 bar chart, with the piano coming in first with 30%. Furthermore, more than 10% of youngsters study the violin and electric guitar, 13% and 14% learn both, and 12% learn both. The number of keyboard learners climbed dramatically in 2016, hitting a high of 30%. Pianos remain popular, although their usage is declining, with just around 28% of households owning one. The proportion of multi-instrumentalists is progressively growing to around 13%.
