Charts show proportions of students at one University in England who were abke to speak other languages in addition to English in 2000 and 2010.

The pie charts illustrates the percentage of students who can speak any other language than English at one of the Universities in England in the year 2000 and 2010.

Overall, the Spanish was the most spoken language among students, where as the German language was least popular in the given period. There was a decline in the rate of monolinguals students.

To begin with, it can be seen that Spanish had the highest popularity among students with 30% and 35%, in 2000 and 2010 respectively. For the same period, there was an increase in the percentage by 5% of those students who were able to speak 'Another' language than English.

On the other hand, the rest of the categories witnessed a downward trend, as the number of french speakers and those who spoke 'Other' two languages decreased by 5% each in 2010. Similarly, English speakers decreased by half in the given period. However, the popularity of German language remained constant over the period.
