There are two different charts displayed the result obtained from a survey about amount of Japanese tourists who traveled abroad and percentage of them who chose Australia as their destination.
The provided first bar chart compares the number of Japanese tourist who traveled other countries from 1985 to 1995. It is immediately apparent that there was a gradual increase of Japanese tourist from 5 to 15 millions over a period of 10 years starting from 1985. Apart from this, In 1991, there was declining in number of Japanese tourist about half of millions.
According to the second diagram, first of all, it could be seen that Australia's share of Japan's tourist market had experienced a fluctuation in the 1988. From the 1985 to 1993, there was a sudden increase about 4 percent in the number of Japanese people who traveled to Australia. On the other hand, as it was mentioned before, during the 1988 to 1989, there was a drastic decrease of Japanese tourist in Australia. Also, it should be noted that in the 1993 to 1994, there was other declining in Japanese tourist.
As, it can be observed from the second chart, before 1985, Australia's share of Japan's tourist market was zero.
