Chorleywood is a village near London whose population has increased steadily since the middle of the 19th century. The map below shows the development of the village.
The map represents the overall development and increasing population of a small countryside village known as Chorleywood in England, near London.
Overall, It can be seen that how a small village with minimum population saw significant growth in its overall population. As the village started developing its infrastructure, building Main Road, Railways and Motorway with park and golf course in the center. In the beginning, Chorleywood was a small village close to London along the Main road from 1868 till 1883. After that, Railways came into existence in the year 1909, crossing the main road in the southeastern part. Due to railway people started moving near the Chorleywood station and its surrounding areas, from 1883 to 1922 the village has seen rapid growth in its population.
On the other hand, the British built a Motorway in the year 1970, crossing the railways in the south and the Main road in the north. Such developments brought more people into the village because of its convenience. Therefore, more and more people started moving in and started their life in the town along the Motorway near the Railway line in the south and beside the Main road in the north. These all developments took place from 1970 till 1944.
In the end, It can be concluded that Railways played an important role in the development of Chorleywood Park followed by Main Road and Motorway.
