Essay topics:

The diagram below shows the development of cutting tools in the Stone Age. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The given picture compares the difference between the tool A and tool B used for cutting during different period of time in the stone age , 1.4 million years and 0.8 million years ago respectively. It can be clearly seen that the diagram is illustrating by providing the views from three different angles.

Overall, it is evident from the diagram that the size of the tool had not shown any significant changes in th esize, however it is critical to assume that the shapes and material had been potentially changed for the better perfomance, although it is not mentioned in the picture.

To commence with, tool A has a disformed trigular shape and used rough material as a raw product. In side view , the tool has a , somehow, identical shape along with no improvement in the texture from this agle as well. The third angle is showing the back view of the tool with minor alteration on the sides.

Moving to the Tool B, It is presenting a cutting tool of 0.8 million years ago, which seems to be like a leaf shaped object with sharp pointed tip, nonetheless, the side view has shown considerate thinness in the tool. The back side of the tool is exact replica of the front view, therefore, vivid development in the formation can be noticed.

In conclusion, although both the tools are different in shape and material along with structure but the size remained unchanged.
