The diagram illustrates the draft floor design of a public library over a 20 years period.
Overall, all six categorized areas have been demolished to make space for different rooms providing a wide range of services, with a permanent removal of the tables and the chairs in the center of the library.
The first room in the upper left corner displaying CDs, videos and computer games has been removed in order to build a new space with two sofas. This is also where storytelling events are organized and children's fiction books are now presented. Similarly, the reading room in the bottom left corner with newspapers and magazines has been replaced with a computer room.
There has been an introduction of all reference books open area on the left side, and adult fiction books, as well as information desks and self-service machines on the right side, replacing the adult fiction and non-fiction books space. The children's books room in the upper right corner has been transformed into a lecture room, while the enquiry desk opposite has been cleared to make room for a cafe. The tables and the chairs in the library center have been removed after 20 years.
