The diagram illustrates the refurbishment of central library over two decades.
20 years ago, there were two tables covered by chairs around and along with the adult fiction and non-fiction books in two sides. In the left of this, a reading room was designed for news paper and magazines lovers while a place for some kinds of games was in front of this. Follow the right of the entrance, there was an enquiry desk used for buying tickets and books return, above over, a site for children’s books was at the right corner of the library.
At the present, the center location has become clear due to the removing of sittings. The computer room has been relocated to the left lower corner while the old one was expanded and replaced to making space for story telling events and also for children’s fiction books. All references books are moved to the middle of these two rooms and some self-service machines which below the information desk and adult fiction books have been arranged in contrast site. In addition, a café has been built to replace the old desk and children’s book area has been upgraded to the lecture room.
Overall, there are several significant changes in the library setup throughout the period. Notably, the entrance leads to a wider area, the introduction of new space for events and also self-service facilities.
