The diagram below shows how electricity is generated in a hydroelectric power station

Essay topics:

The diagram below shows how electricity is generated in a hydroelectric power station.

The diagram illustrates the process of how hydroelectricity is generated in the power station. Overall, there are five main crucial steps involved in it.
Firstly, the river flows to the high level reservoir where it is open during the day time and closed in the night hours. Here the water is collected and send to the nearby dam, where the water is flown to the power station to generate electricity during the day time. The power station has the generator. which has reversible turbines embedded in it. This is the crucial step where the water is used to convert to electricity. If the generator doesn't work well the hydroelectricity will not be generated. It will become quite difficult to produce the electricity. The generator of the power station is bounded with many power lines as to produce electricity. These power lines are connected to the national grid where it is the main supply of power.
Only during the day time , the water flows into the low-level reservoir. In contrast to it ,in the night hours the turbines present in the generator will pump back the water into high level reservoir which is the reverse process. The water is flown back during the pumping process.
