The diagram below shows how electricity is generated in a hydroelectric power station Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant

The illustration demonstrates how water is harnessed to generate electricity in a hydroelectric power station. Overall, the basic principle of creating energy is to take advantage of water flows to activate turbines and generate electricity using generators. Additionally, there is a special pump that transfers water to the high-level revervoir to recycle water.

Having looked at the diagram for more details, it is clear that a dam is built to trap water in a high-level reservoir. After that, a gate under the dam that is opened during daylight and closed at night allows water to run through long pipe to spin turbines. Subsequently, power is generated and is transfered to power lines then to national grids and is delivered to households. Notably, During day, the reversible generator ‘s main responsibility is to operate the generator and water is pumped to a low-level reservoir. However, at night, water is pumped to the high-level reservoir from low-level tank to turn the turbines reversely, the aim is to create secondary energy sources. Eventually, water is 100 percent recycled and keep continuing its cycle to generate power.
