The process starts off with the fresh oranges being transported to a factory, where it is then washed to ensure hygiene. Then, the sanitised oranges are fed through a processor, where after orange juice is extracted - the solid waste that is a byproduct of this step, meanwhile, is used as animal feed. The fresh orange juice is either packaged and sold in shops, or stored in a refrigerator truck to be evaporated.
The evaporation process involves boiling the water away until the residue i.e. concentrate juice is left. This concentrate is then canned and transported to a warehouse, stored away until it is converted back into orange juice. Once ready, the juice concentrate is delivered to a factory, where water is added to make orange juice - this final product is then packaged, and ultimately transported to shops where it is presented and sold to customers.
