The diagram below shows the manufacturing process for making sugar from sugar cane.
The diagram illustrates the process of producing sugar from sugar cane. We can see that the manufacturing process consists of seven distinct steps starting with farming, followed by crushing, evaporating, centrifuging, and ending in drying and cooling.
At the first stage of the process, sugar canes are grown in the field from twelve to eighteen months before being harvested. Then, the sugar plants are collected either manually by farmers or by a machine. At the third stage, sugar canes are passed through a crushing machine to collect juice which is then purified through a limestone filter in the following step. Next, the purifying juice is heated in an evaporator which turns the juice into syrup when the heating ends. In the sixth step, syrup collected from juice is put into a centrifuge in which sugar crystals are separated from the syrup. The process ends with a drying and cooling step, turning the sugar crystals into sugar.
