This is an experimental set up that illustrate the distillation process of water
The materials required for given experiment are aa heat source,a pot with salty water,a metal funnel,a long pipe and a piece of cloth.First,take aa pot with salty water and connect a funnel at the top of pot.Then a long pipe is inserted at the end of funnel.After the set up for experiment, place the pot on a gas furnace and boil it.When tge water boils at a temperature greater than its boiling temperature it starts to vaporize.Then the steam rises through the pipe.It is followed by condensation stage.For the condensation,a cloth is kept over the pipe and water is poured out of the jug on the cloth.By doing these,steam is converted and fresh water is collected ina bucket at the end of the pipe.
To conclude,from this experiment it is evident that conversion of salty water into fresh water is a simple process.
