The bar chart compares and contrasts data on the correlation between the amount of time people spending watching TV per week and gender with age changing in the UK in 1995 and 1999.

A closer look at the diagram highlights the fact that the older people got, the more time they watched TV every week.

More specifically, at the tender age of 4 to 15, children only spent about 16 hours on TV. That tendency, however, seemed to experience a decrease for females compared to an increase for their counterparts in the second youngest age group. Women spent more time on TV than men did throughout the same period of time, except for children at the early age. The biggest difference for teenager age group was approximately 5 hours per week in 1999. The average hours per week elderly ladies from 65 years old spent watching TV was two times greater than that of girls from 4 to 15 years old in 1995. The highest figures for men and women from the 66 plus group was 33 hours and 35 hours, respectively, in 1995.
