The diagram shows how chocolate is produced. Summerize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.
The illustration details the process by which chocolate is manufactured. Overall, there are 10 steps involved beginning with the cultivation of cacao trees and culminating in the completed liquid chocolate.
At the first step, cacao trees are planted regionally in South America, Africa and Indonesia. When the plants bear ripe red pods, it is then harvested in order to collect the inner white cacao beans. After that, these beans undergo a period of fermentation before being laid out in the sun to dry. Subsequently, the dry beans are packed in large sacks for the next steps.
After the packaging process is done, either train or lorry will transport it to the factory. Here, beans will be roasted under the heat of 350 celsius degrees, preceding the crushing step to remove the outer shell. Finally, rollers are prepared to press the inner part of the beans to produce a thick mixture called liquid chocolate.
