The diagram shows rainwater is collected for the use of drinking water in an Australian town. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The picture illustrates how drinking water can be used from collecting rainwater in an Australian town. Overall, the process consists of four distinct stages, from the initial collection of rainwater to the eventual production of drinking water to houses.
Firstly, rains that fall on the rooftop, run down the pipe at the side of the house into the drain at the bottom. Rainwater then goes through a water filter to remove some waste and dirt from the rain. After that, the cleaned water is poured into a large water tank for storage before going to the water treatment process.
In the penultimate stage, water is treated with chemicals in order to make it fit for consumption. When the water is ready for drinking, it travels along the pipes that lead back into the houses in the town, and people will get water from the water taps for their daily consumption.
