Overall, there are three main stages in the water cycle shown. This natural diagram begin with evaporation of ocean water and then falls as rain, ends with turning back into the ocean again.
At the first step of process as evaporation, we can see that 80% of water vapour in the air was contributed by the oceans. Due to the heat from the sunrays, sea water becomes condensing vapour clouds before transforming into cloud. Subsequently, the picture showed us precipitation, which is formed as rain or snow.
Ending with the last step, rain water may take various paths such as falling into lakes or turning back to the sea via ‘surface runoff’. One of another way is to filter to the ground and then reach impervious layer of the earth. In addition, salt water intrusion has been taking place right before groundwater passes into the ocean to complete cycle.
