The diagrams below show the design for a wind turbine and its location.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The diagrams show a wind turbine for generating electricity from wind and where it can be placed.
A wind turbine consists of two main parts that are tower and blades. The tower is made from steel and is designed with a height that can easily get the wind. At the beginning, the wind flows to three blades which are structured by fiberglass or wood. As a result, the wind moves three blades that are connected to a generator. Capacity output of the generator is 11.5 megawatts. The wind turbine also has a wind sensor on the top. It is connected to a computer that is placed nearby turbine. The computer then receives the information about speed and direction of the wind from sensor and adjusts direction angle of blades.
The turbine can be placed near the coast where landscape is not spoiled. However, to catch the strongest wind, the turbine should be in a higher place and more electricity can be generated. Whereas that, the domestic turbine can generate less energy which output only 100 kilowatts.
