The diagrams below show the life cycle of a species of large fish called the salmon.
The figure projects the salmon's life cycle which are species of large fish. At a glance, the cycle of their life revolve in three places (upper river, lower river and open sea).
To begin with, salmon eggs remain for approximately half a year among small stones and reeds of upper river which moves slowly. After that, fry, 3 to 8 centimeters long, comes out of the eggs and move through fast flowing lower river. They remain there for around four years until they transforms to 'smolt'.
Next, the smolt which are 12 to 15 centimeters length opt to live in open sea and leaves lower river. In open sea, they remain there for about half decade and grows to become adult salmon. Finally, the adult salmon moves back to upper river and lay eggs there resulting in continuation of the cycle.
To summarize, the life cycle of salmon last approximately for a decade.
