The diagrams give information about changes in a student accommodation.
The two given maps illustrate the changes of a resident hall from 2010 to now.
In general, the hall’s layout has become significantly different, with the appearance of a parking area and the disappearance of a living room.
In 2010, the building was a relatively green area with three gardens to the north, to the south, and to the north-west. However, only the north garden remains while the other two were replaced by a new student-bedroom in the north-west and a car park in the south. In addition, there is an increase in the number of student bedrooms, specifically from the original three to five, replacing the former living room to the north.
Moreover, the current building is also more accessible with more doors added which connect the rooms and hallway. Furthermore, the kitchen in the east is now expanded to use as a social area. One significant change includes the introduction of an en-suite room which is easy to be reached from the main entrance. Lastly, at the heart of the map, the big bathroom stays unchanged during the period of time.
