The two maps illustrate how a student common room changed
Overall, this area has witnessed several transformations, the most notable of which is the addition of benches and new amenities, such as a television and a drinks machine. Moreover, there has been a rearrangement of tables and chairs.
The student common room five years ago had a row of kitchen amenities in the north of the room such as sink, cupboard, two benches, microwave and refrigerator. Now one bench has been replaced by another microwave, and this bench has been turned into a bench for laptops in the south of the room. Meanwhile the other kitchen amenities remains unchanged.
Regarding the southeastern corner, there was a bookself five years ago. Now television occupy the location of bookself, and there are three armchairs surrounding the television. Furthermore, a new drinks machine is built under the refrigerator. In terms of changes in the middle of the room, there were four table with six chairs each five years ago. Now, two tables are combined into a large table with ten chairs, while two other table mostly remained intact.
