The figures illustrate the components of a solar panel and its function.
There are three parts making up the solar panel. The solar panel has different structures to heat air and water.
Basically, the solar panel consists of a box with a transparent top and two pipes as inlet and outlet. When it is used to heat air, cool air come into the box through the inlet and sun rays travel across the transparent top, providing energy to heat the air. Then warm air goes out through the outlet.
When the solar panel works to heat water, a water pipe need to be installed in the box to connect the inlet and outlet as well as hold water. After cool water reaches the water pipe, the sun rays heat up the air in the box and then the water pipe get heated by the air. In this way, the water in the pipe can be heated quickly owing to full contact with the hot air. In the end, warm water comes out of the outlet as well.
