In the first chart, the average monthly spend on children's sports was 20 pounds in 2008. Afterward, it increased steady in the following six years. It rised to 32 pounds in 2014.
In the second chart, both football and swimming increased gradually from 2008 to 2014. The number of children participated in football and swimming is 8 million and 2 million respectively. The number of children participated in athletics remain steady from 2008 to 2010, which showed a sharp increase from 2010 to 2012, and reached its peak of 5 million in 2012. It decreased gradually from 2012 to 2014. Overall, the three different sports, namely football, athletes and swimming, all increased in the number of children participation from 2008 to 2014.
