The two pie charts compare the amount of energy use and greenhouse gas released in Australian household on different kinds of categories. Overall, it is obviously seen that although Australians use the largest proportion of energy on heating, the gas come from it is just minor. Also, refrigeration and other appliances emissons are much more larger than their previous use.
The majority of energy use belongs to heating ( at 42%), however, this only make up 15% among gas emissions. Following the first kind of energy is water heating which has the similar proportions of consumption and emission, at almost under one third of each pie chart. Similarly, the electricity used and emitted from cooling are also at the same lowest rate, at under 5%. The third rank of energy in both charts is other appliances that consumpt nearly a half of its waste towards the environment, at 15% and 28% respectively. There are two types of appliance which see the same trend, refrigerator and light. The gas released from lighting is 8% which double its use ( at 4%). Nevertheless, the percentage of lighting emission only represent a half of share of the refrigeration figure, at 8% compared to 14%.
