The line graph compares three different countries in terms of the migrants who migrated from rural area to the urban cities of these countries over the period of quarter century. Units are measured in millions.
Overall, it is clear that the trends show an upward trajectory. Interestingly, although Iran had the least number of migrants at the beginning, it surpassed and forecasted to has the highest number of migrants.
All the three countries began the period approximately at the same number. In 2000, the figure for Russia started the period at around 15 million and increased gradually by about 28 million through the decade, then the figure skyrocketed by 27 million in following 5 years. From 2015 Russia's figure grows consistently and predicted to continue rising.
Similarly, the number of migrants of Iran started the period with slow increase at about 8 million, then from 2015 witnessed significant growth till 2020 and forecasted to continue soaring by the end of 2025. It is interesting that the figure for Indonesia felt a gradual rise from 2000, and predicted to level off from 2020 to 2025.
