Overall, there was an upward trend in the number of graduates and the number of the occupant in two positions (professional and managerial & administrative) decreased by time.
Regarding the first diagram, the number of graduates was initially 165 thousand, rising exponentially to about 195 thousand in the next five years before falling by 150 thousand in 2002.
Moving to the second chart, 60 thousand people were professional employees in 1992 and this number decreased by approximately 5 thousand in the following five years, finishing the year 2002 at around 40 thousand workers. While the number of managers and administrative staff was a third that of professional in the initial year, declining by 3 thousand in 1997 before stabilized in the following five years. In contrast, the people working as clerical & secretarial and sales witnessed an increasing number in the period. The number of clerical & secretarial stood just below 5 thousand in the first year, doubling in 1997, and saw hardly any change in last year. People working as sales commenced at 2.5 thousand in 1992, climbing by 1-2 thousand every next five year.
