Starting at 10 in 1920, the birth rate in China increased significantly from 1930 to 1935. However, over the following years, there was a sharp fall and stood at 5 per year before reaching a high of 20 in 1950. Next, the percentage of birth plugged to 9 in 1955 and ended up at two by 2000.
Meanwhile, the USA had the same beginning as China. It fluctuated to 13 for the first years, then decreased dramatically to 5 before reached of 15% and stood at 7 in 2000.
