In 1960, the amount of X disease stood at 100, levelling off at this rate over the following five years. 1965 to 1970 saw a steady increase to 200 in the X disease rate, which was followed by sudden growth at the end of this period, with the rate reaching a peak of 500 in 1975. From 1975 to 1980, there was a level off 500 and then plunged to 350 in 1985.
Next, the figure kept sharply dropping a low of 0 at 1990, levelling off at this number for the remainder of the period
