The graph below gives information from a 2008 report about consumption of energy in the USA since 1980 with projections until 2030.Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparison where relevant.

The line graph illustrates how many quadrillion units of petrol are consumped to produce energy in the US from the past 1980 to the prospect of 2030.

Regarding the fossil fuels group such as nuclear, solar / wind or hydropower, there would be a upward trend in the amount of consumption but in a slight scale. Among that, the energy consumption by nuclear have performed a remarkable increase whereas that by hydropower would experience a minor drop.

Another noticable point is that the figure of renewable energy seems to stand out. To be more specific, petrol and oil own the highest quadrillion units which is around ten times higher than the average figure of the remaining group. It is expected to reach approximately 50 quadrillion units in 2013. Meanwhile, following at the second place is coal whose performance is pretty amazing when the number is predicted to rise to 25 quadrillion units. Even though natural gas had a tremendous start,
it would suffer from a fluctuation before ending at the third place at about 25 quadrillion units.

In conclusion, the US energy consumptions by six types of fuel are all on the increase. Also, renewable energy figures seem to outweigh that of nuclear line.
