The graph below gives information about internet users in three countries between 1999 and 2009.
The line graph compares the differences in the number of Internet users in three nations namely the USA, Canada, and Mexico during a 10-year-period between 1999 and 2009.
Overall, as can be seen from the chart that the proportion of people using the Internet increased generally in the three countries surveyed. Particularly, Canada had the largest number of Internet users among three. Units are measured in percentages.
In 1999, Canada only had around 10% of citizens using the Internet, while the figure for American was approximately 10% higher than the former. Then, both two figures rose significantly and the percentage of Internet users in the USA was taken up by that of Canada in 2003. Canada’s figure was followed by the USA’s to reach the peak at around 100% and 80% respectively.
Meanwhile, the number of Internet users in Mexico witnessed a gradual upward trend during the time shown, at about 3% in 1999, then it increased to nearly 30% before surging to approximately 35% in the end.
