The depicted line graph enumerates the comparative data about the consumption of energy in the USA since 1980 with predictions through 2030.
Overall, it is evident that the figure for petrol and oil, natural gas, as well as coal gradually increased and expected to rise in the future, whereas the consumption of nuclear, solar and hydropower had similar proportion over the given period.
To initiate, the most obvious trend had seen in the figure of petrol and oil, despite some fluctuation for over one and a half decades it had dramatically risen from one-third Qu in 1995 to approximately 43 Qu in 2015 and expected to peak from 43 Qu in 2015 to nearly half Qu in 2030. Moreover, the use of natural gas and coal seems to have similar portion throughout the given period.
Furthermore, the consumption of nuclear, wind, as well as hydropower had an almost similar figure for over three decades and predicted to remain stabilized at approximately 7 Qu, 5 Qu, and 4 Qu, respectively.
