Overall, the use of Coal for generating electricity in New Zealand increased considerably. Similarly, the portion of Nuclear seems to have risen dramatically over the given period. Surprisingly, Nuclear saw a certain decline in both respective countries.
To initiate, the most marked change had seen in the ratio of Coal, peaking from 56 in 1980 to approximately 150 in 2010, which makes up the biggest source of acquiring electricity in New Zealand. In addition, in 1980, hydro boast an impressive 30 units of the 120 units in New Zealand. However, by 2010, the figure had peaked significantly to 46 unit. Followed by, Natural Gas and Petroleum had faced a drastic decline over the given period.
Furthermore, the majority of Germany had experienced an enormous contribution to obtain electricity via Nuclear, rising from 20 units in 1980 to nearly 160 in 2010, while the figures for Petroleum in Germany went up slightly from 22 unit in 1980 to roughly one-quarter unit in 2010. Interestingly, the ratio of coal had remained stable in both respective years.
