The line graph illustrates how much money was spent on books in four different countries from 1995 to 2005.

Overall, there was an increase in the amount of money spent on expanding books in France and Austria. Meanwhile, the figures for Italy and Germany experienced fluctuations between 1995 and 2005. In addition, the amount of money German people expended on books was the highest during the period.

About 80 million dollars was used to expand books in Germany in 1995, followed by a significant increase to 90 million dollars in 1999, and then declined slightly to 84 million dollars in 2003, before ending the period at 95 million dollars. The similarity can be seen in the figure for Austria, which started at 50 million dollars in 1995, after which it experienced growth to 55 million dollars in 1997, then returned to 50 million dollars in 1999, and ended at 62 million dollars in 2005.

The amount of money French people spent on books started at 55 million dollars in 1995, with a subsequent jump to 70 million dollars in 2001, before ending the period at 75 million dollars. A similar pattern was also be seen in the figure for Austria, which was at 30 million dollars in 1995, after which rose sharply to 40 million dollars in 1999 and remain virtually unchanged until 2001 and rocketed to the north of 70 million dollars in the last year of the period.
