Contained in the line graph provided is data pertaining to CO2 emissions released from human by metric tonnes in four different countries from 1967 and 2007. Overall, there was two countries that witnessed a downward trend, whereas the trend for the others was upward.
Regarding Britain and Sweden, one sees a pattern of decrease. It is clear that Britain, who had the highest amount of CO2 emissions, showed a steady reduction from just under 11 metric tonnes to about 8 metric tonnes of CO2 over the period. The trend is similar for the CO2 amount in Sweden, as it dropped remarkably from around 8.5 metric tonnes in 1967 to just under 6 metric tonnes in 2007 after reaching peak at just over 10 metric tonnes in 1977.
Turning to Italy and Portugal, the trend in evidence was one of increase. It is apparent that the amount of CO2 produced by Italian experienced a considerable growth, from just above 4 metric tonnes in 1967 to nearly 8 metric tonnes, making it became the nation that released the second highest CO2 emissions as the period ended. Comparable trend took place with CO2 amount in Portugal, which surged by 4 metric tonnes to the same amount of CO2 in Sweden in 2007.
