The graph illustrates the average of CO2 emission per person on 4 European countries from 1967 to 2007.
It is clearly seen that people in England emit the CO2 the highest of all during those years, although in 1977 Sweden had the same peak with England at 11 metric tonnes. However it reached down gradually to 5 metric tonnes in 2007.
The other striking features is the same trend of two countries, Italy and Portugal. The people of both countries emitted the co2 more and more each year. One in Portugal got 1 metric ton in 1967 with the difference of 3 metric tonnes higher compared to one in Sweden. Both trend continued to rise gradually until 2007. But still the emission of Italy was higher than that of Portugal.
In conclusion, there were two countries (UK and Sweden) experiencing the lowering emissions, and there were two countries with upgrading trend.
