The graph shows the change in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) over forty years- from 1960 to 1990 and it makes a difference between wealthy countries, globalisers and non-globalisers.
In the 1960´s, the countries with the higher growth were the wealthy countries, with a GDP growth of around 4.5%. Followed by the non-globalisers which the smallest growth. During the 1970´s, the three types of countries maintained a similar growth.
The 1980´s there was a steady growth in the globalisers, while the growth in the non-globalisers plunged. There was also a fall in the growth on the wealthy countries.
Finally, in the 90's, the wealthy countries remained unchanged, while the globalisers reached a peak, about 5% of growth.
Between the 1960's and 1990's, the globalisers countries grew steadily, while growth in the wealthy countries dropped considerably. The non-globalisers, on the other hand, fluctuated widely over this period of time.
