The line graph displays the ever changing trends in the transportation of united kingdom and the regular usage of car, bus and train by britishers for travel to work during 1970 to 2030.

From an overall perspective, it can be clearly seen that,car has witnessed a remarkable growth as a popular means of transportation as compare to others.

According to the line graph, in 1970, the proportion of people used cars for commuting was about five millions, which remained constant till 1980. After that, it gained a substantial increase and reached at approximately 8 millions with fluctuations in 2020. As per prediction, this number will jump to nine million after a decade .

On the other hand, people had not given a note-worthy preference to buses. With the passage of time, it has shown a continue steady downward trend and assumed to be reduce at 3 millions in 2030. However commuting by train was the least popular in 1970 at close to 2.5 millions daily travellers. In 2030, it is expected to become the second most common transport mode for commuters.
