The line graph demonstrates the change in the paradigm of access to high-technology at residents' houses in the UK over the period of 14 years.
It can be clearly seen that there was an increasing trend for all domestic access. Moreover, the figure for the CD player which was the most accessed lost the number and gave the rank to the DVD player.
Between 1994 and 1997, there was a slight rise in CD players, at 15%. Throughout the remainder of the period, CD players witnessed a moderate increase. However, from 2006 to 2008 CD players declined slightly. Also, from 1998 to 2008 the figure for the Internet experienced gradual growth.
In the same period, the figure for Mobile phones and DVDs seems to increase more noticeably than others. From 1999 to 2001, there was a significant in Internet access, between 15 and 30 percent. There was also a slightly increased rate at bout 80% in 2008. Furthermore, from 2003 until 2005, the DVD line saw a dramatic go up, at almost 50%. Throughout the remainder of the period, the number of DVD players in 2008 is more than 80%.
