Overall, there were increases in the amount of money spent on cell phone services and international fixed-line services, with the former enjoying the most considerable growth to become by far the most used from 2001 onwards. Meanwhile, the opposite trend was seen in the figure for national fixed-line services.

The average expenditure on international fixed-line services started at around 260 dollars, after which it experienced a rise to approximately 320 dollars in 2003, before ending at just above 300 dollars. Exact 200 dollars was used for cell phone services, with a considerable increase to 300 dollars in 2002 and a final peak to about 750 dollars.

The figure for national fixed-line services was at 700 dollars at the beginning of the period, followed by a plunge to 400 dollars at the end of the period.
